Weight Loss Or Heart Disease?


Thousands of people who are overweight say they are happy with their bodies, maybe so, but the fact remains eating healthy foods is difficult for many people, but a must to prolonging your life. Other reasons you should consider changing to a healthier lifestyle, be the few who will live longer, avoid heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes.
With one third of the population being obese in the US this group includes children, youth and adults and has the highest risk for diabetes. Heart disease is among the deadliest health risk and often leads to a heart attack and in most cases is fatal. This disease develops when your heart has to work extra hard to pump the blood to the body, which causes it to become fatigued and eventually stops pumping. This is simply because you are overweight, or can be a result of high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
Maintaining a healthy diet with regular exercise, even if you are currently happy with your weight, is always a sensible and smart choice, until you reach your desired weight. Once you have achieved your goal, eating the proper foods with regular exercise will be easier and become a new healthier way of life.
Snack on vegetables or fruit anytime you have a craving for something sweet, and be sure to drink plenty of water. Try and avoid starchy foods such as pasta, potatoes, rice, and the two most important items to avoid are processed foods and sugar. And please be sure to visit your doctor before proceeding with any diet or exercise program.
